The Brief: For an office in the heart of DC, across the street from the White House. The client wanted a 40' statement board table made from wood with DC heritage. We had 3 weeks to source the wood & present the concept. A total long shot. But then we found this...

An epic elm tree, salvaged from the National Mall. 

We slabbed it immediately, and laid it out as a table. It was perfect.  We presented it to the client, won the work and proceeded to build this beauty.
